This nice set of five miniature British military medals offers a tangible link to a soldier’s service during the Second World War, with campaign decorations reflecting service across multiple theatres of war. They come in their original cardboard box, with the name ‘Inspr. John S.Biss – 52 Bedfordshire’ written on the outside.
The Medals each represent:
1939–1945 Star: Awarded for general service in WWII between 1939 and 1945.
Africa Star with “8th Army” Clasp: Recognising service in the North African campaign under Montgomery’s Eighth Army.
Italy Star: Issued for operations in the Italian Campaign.
France and Germany Star: Honouring those involved in the liberation of Western Europe.
With King George VI Effigy: Given to all full-time personnel of the Armed Forces for service of at least 28 days between 1939 and 1945.

In good condition – Medals show light age-related wear but retain their original detail and patina and the ribbons are securely affixed and well-preserved with vivid colours.
