A Vintage Sterling Silver Tea Strainer which includes the special Silver Jubilee mark introduced for the reign of King George V. The rim is finished with a restrained decorative border that gives the piece a neatly defined appearance.
A short projecting rest opposite the handle allows the strainer to sit across the rim of a cup or receiving bowl. A turned dark wooden handle provides a warm visual contrast to the polished sterling silver. Hallmarked for Birmingham, 1935.
* Its star-pierced bowl introduces a decorative note to the familiar ritual of serving loose-leaf tea!
