An unusual Victorian silver plated biscuit/cookie jar in the shape of a 28lb weight. There is a button to press on the front of the box which opens and locks it allowing you to carry it with ease. It is also engraved on the front 28lb circa 1880 maker: H&L for Richard Hodd & William Linley. Worldwide first class tracked and signed for delivery is included in the price. Measurements: Height (handle up): 10 (approx 25cm) Height (handle down): 6 1/2 (approx 16cm) Diameter of base: 6 (approx 15cm) A fantastic novelty piece hard to find! In good condition - any dark areas are shadows from the photography there is no damage to the silver plate.
