An English Victorian silver plated trophy cup celebrating the 1881 Putney to Hammersmith Senior Eights boat race. Beautifully engraved with the two teams in their boats on the river on one side and Senior Eights Putney to Hammersmith July 15th 1881 Winning Crew on the other side with team member names listed. Please note: The darker areas on the cup are a reflection from the photography and the plating is in good condition. Measurements: Height: 8 (approx 20cm) Diameter across top: 4 (approx 10cm) Total weight: 349g The depiction of the two teams is unusual and not often found on trophy cups making this an interesting collectors piece and great gift for rowing enthusiasts!
