A gorgeous English Victorian Elkington silver plated claret jug with beautiful embossed decoration of Bacchus to pouring lip and vine and grape decoration to silver plated band at top. There is also a lion finial holding a shield to the top and the shield has a family crest of bird engraved. The jug has a star cut base and engraved handle. Has Elkington mark E which dates it at 1890. Worldwide first class tracked and signed for delivery is included in the price. Measurements: Height: 11 (approx 27cm) Width to handle: 7 (approx 17.5cm) Diameter across base: 5 1/2 (approx 14cm) Total weight: 1131g In good condition - no chips or cracks to glass. Any dark areas are shadows from the photograpy there is no wear or damage to silver plate.
