A stunning large English Victorian silver plated biscuit barrel/cookie jar with embossed cherub decoration to body. Has engraved inside of the hinged lid which has the family crest and motto Hoc Securior and St Jamess possibly connected to the St Jamess area of London which was known to be a residential area for the aristocracy of the time. Has the Elkington date mark for 1875. Worldwide first class tracked and signed for delivery is included in the price. Measurements: Height 8 3/4 (approx 22cm) Diameter of base: 6 1/2 (approx 16.5cm) Total weight: 1887g In good condition - any dark areas are shadows from the photography. There is no wear to the silver plate.
