A Victorian Sterling Silver Commemorative Spoon produced to celebrate Queen Victoria’s Diamond Jubilee in 1897, marking 60 years of her reign. The handle is surmounted by a crown with a medallion marked “60” for the Jubilee. Below, emblems of the United Kingdom - the rose, thistle, shamrock, and dragon - are finely cast in relief. The spoon bowl is richly decorated with embossed scrolls, foliage, and flowers in a typically Victorian style. Comes in a velvet and silk lined box and is hallmarked for Birmingham, 1896.

In good condition – Crisp detailing to the handle and bowl and the silver is bright, with minimal wear. Case shows only light age-related marks.
