This very rare and unusual Edwardian nursery bell is made from celluloid (early plastic). The cat face has glass eyes and a protruding tongue which when pressed works the clockwork mechanism inside the head producing a ringing sound. In full working order and excellent condition with the exception of one chip (as shown on image) and one rivet missing. Circa 1900 no makers mark. Approx 4 in diameter.
