An Unusual Vintage Sterling Silver Mounted Cut Glass Biscuit Barrel with a swing handle that when closed presses the top of the lid to make a extra good seal. This handsome biscuit barrel combines a deeply cut clear glass body with a heavy gauge sterling silver collar, lid, and swing handle. The lid is a flat circular form with a central knop, designed for easy lifting during serving. The silver fittings are hallmarked for Sheffield, 1971.
