An Unusual Antique French Silver Sardine Server featuring a detailed engraved fish motif and scalloped edge, the blade is crafted from fine silver and joined to a slender, turned wooden handle for a graceful silhouette. Designed to gently lift and serve delicate fish fillets without damage. The server is stamped with the male head for the French silver mark .950 fine-ness and also stamped with a female head with the letter P (probably for Paris) - circa 1830.
* Perhaps it once belonged to a seaside estate, used during family gatherings on summer evenings. Ideal for period-themed entertaining or as a conversation starter at a seafood dinner party.
