A beautifully preserved example of Continental silver craftsmanship from around 1900, this elegant mesh purse epitomizes the refined aesthetic of the Belle Époque period. Made from high-grade silver (marked 925), this petite accessory features a vibrant blue guilloché enamel frame, with its luminous surface creating a kaleidoscope of shimmer with every movement.
Suspended from a delicate woven silver wrist strap, the purse’s body is composed of finely linked silver chain mail, allowing it to fall in a soft drape and gather smoothly. A tiny decorative drop bead finishes the bottom. The clasp opens with a satisfying click, revealing the purse’s well-made interior, which remains supple and intact – circa 1900.
