A Unique Antique Silver-Plated Scottish Revival Dish richly decorated with Celtic motifs and supported on scroll feet. Around the outer wall runs a broad engraved band of interlaced Celtic knotwork, crisply executed and deeply cut to create a strong visual contrast against the polished silver body. While it takes inspiration from the form of the Scottish quaich, this piece is on a far larger scale and intended more as a ceremonial serving dish, presentation piece, or centre bowl rather than a drinking vessel – circa 1920.
