This is a striking Antique Edwardian cranberry glass bowl presented within a silver plated stand with an integrated carry handle. The glass is a rich pink-red cranberry tone that gives immediate colour and presence to a table or sideboard. The bowl has a softly flared, petal-like rim that creates a flower form when viewed from above. The silver plated stand is shaped with scalloped corners and a circular aperture designed to cradle the bowl securely. Marked JD & S for James Deakin Sidney Works England - circa 1905.
* Cranberry glass has a depth of colour that instantly warms a room and flatters candlelight.
