This decorative covered cheese dish is made in deep cranberry red glass with a matching scalloped under-dish. The dish has a rounded, dome-like lid topped with a ball finial, creating a classic silhouette. Extensive gilt decoration and fine white dot detailing wrap around the body and lid for a rich, ornamental finish. The central cartouches feature hand-painted floral motifs, adding colour and a distinctly period feel – circa 1900.
