A silver plated box from the SS Arandora Star ship which was a passenger ship from 1927-1929 when it was converted into a cargo ship. She was sunk in 1940. Has enamelled flag with SS Arandora Star underneath to centre of lid. Made by the renowned maker Mappin & Webb circa 1920s. Silver Plated Ashtray from SS Arandora Star Mappin & Webb Measurements: Height: 1 1/4 (approx 3cm) Width: 3 1/4 (approx 8.5cm) Depth: 3 1/4 (approx 8.5cm) Total weight: 248g In good condition - any dark areas are shadows from the photography. There is no wear to silver plate.
