Beautiful Swedish silver gilt enamelled sugar tongs presented in original suede case which is silk and velvet lined. The box has gold lettering ESSIE stamped on the corner. They were retailed by Aitchison and the inside of the box reads Aitchison to her Majesty the Queen court jeweller 80 Princes Street Edinburgh. Circa 1890. We have tea spoons to match and the reference number is: 48249. Measurements: Length: 3 1/2 (approx 9cm) Unusual enamelled tongs possibly with English royal family connections - could use some research. In good condition - no chips to enamel
