A Gorgeous Rare Sterling Silver and Glass Table Bell featuring an elaborate openwork design and a figural handle. The handle is topped with a bearded figure in a cap, possibly representing a classical or mythological character, adding personality and historic flair. Below the face, a beautifully detailed bird is nestled among flowing leaves and scrollwork, making the handle as decorative as it is functional. The bell’s skirt features ornate latticework interwoven with flowers and foliage, creating a light, airy appearance. Hallmarked for London, 1896.
