Exquisitely exotic and unmistakably Victorian, this silver-plated condiment cart is an extraordinary find, featuring a majestic elephant in ceremonial dress pulling a wheeled base that carries two finely cut glass jars and a central salt cellar. Designed to impress, it merges Eastern-inspired whimsy with refined European silverwork, making it both a functional table accessory and a true collector’s showpiece.
Cast in silver plate, the cart is led by a regally caparisoned elephant, its trunk lowered in motion and body adorned with ornate armour-like scale detail. Each barrel-shaped cut glass pot features sharp crosshatched facets, creating a prismatic sparkle under light. Comes complete with two silver-plated spoons, each topped with a wonderfully detailed winged lion figure grasping a book - a symbol often associated with wisdom.
