A Rare Antique Silver-Plated Double Preserve Jar beautifully engineered by renowned British silversmiths Hukin & Heath. It features a silver-plated frame with hinged lids covering two square glass jars. Each hinged lid opens with a smooth action when the carrying handle is rotated down, aided by a clever patented thumb-tab system – circa 1920.
* Renowned Maker: Hukin & Heath were known for working with designers like Dr. Christopher Dresser, and for producing forward-thinking tableware in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. This is the first of its kind we have seen in over 40 years of antique hunting!
