A Nice Pair of Vintage Sterling Silver Mounted Mahogany Wine Coasters in the Georgian style with a pierced gallery edge, giving a light, architectural look around the rim. The mahogany bases have turned central decoration. These pieces are designed to sit under a decanter or bottle, protecting the table while framing the glassware. The underside is lined with green baize, intended to prevent scratching and to help the coasters sit securely on polished surfaces. Hallmarked for London, 1985.
