A Pair of Fabulous Antique Edwardian Entrée Dishes with a restrained rococo-style scroll motif to the corners and shoulders.. Each dish has a gently shaped rectangular form with a domed cover designed to retain heat at table. The removable handles are decorative in outline and sit on raised mounts, providing a comfortable lift when serving. These dishes are traditionally used for serving vegetables, fish, or small joints as part of a formal dinner service. The handles can be removed from the lids, which can in turn be used as separate bases if required – circa 1905.
