A Nice Pair of Antique Victorian Sheffield Plate Wine Bottle Coasters of Georgian-style. Each coaster has a silver-faced outer band with a repeating fluted motif that gives a crisp, architectural look. Inside each piece is a turned mahogany insert with concentric rings and a central boss. The silver plate shows natural wear commensurate with age, revealing warm hints of copper beneath – circa 1840.
* These coasters work equally well today as stands for wine, port or smaller decanters on a sideboard.
