Good Pair of Antique Japanese Imari Porcelain Vases presented in the traditional Imari palette. Each vase has a baluster-shaped body with rounded shoulders, a gently waisted neck and a flared rim.
The decoration combines deep cobalt blue with iron-red, orange and restrained green enamel details on a pale porcelain ground. Large shaped reserves contain flowering plants arranged in ornamental vessels, surrounded by dense scrolling foliage and stylised blossoms – circa 1900.
