A Stunning Pair of Elizabeth II Sterling Silver Filled Low Candlesticks with richly worked repoussé and chased decoration. Each candlestick has a broad, stable circular base with dense scrolling foliage and naturalistic motifs. The decoration includes a raised bird and leaf forms, giving a lively, traditional decorative character. The stems are similarly ornamented, with scrolling panels that carry the pattern upward in a cohesive way. Hallmarked for Birmingham, 1976.
