A Nice Vintage Sterling Silver Pierced Tea Infuser formed as a pierced ball that opens to hold loose leaf tea. The infuser is made in two hemispheres with a hinge, allowing it to be filled and closed securely. The pierced decoration is arranged to let water circulate through the leaves while keeping the tea contained. A linked chain is fitted for suspending the infuser in a cup or pot and for retrieving it easily after brewing. Hallmarked Sterling Silver with the date letter ‘D’ – circa 1950.
