An Antique Copper & Brass Vesta Case, complete with a match striker panel on the underside. Used to safely carry and strike matches, this case served both practical and decorative purposes in its time - and now stands as a small but striking example of narrative metalwork.
The lid features a bustling tavern scene with figures drinking, working, and carousing, while the sides are alive with dynamic hunting vignettes and rustic landscapes. Executed in high relief, the scenes are deeply textured and alive with motion, lending the piece both tactility and storytelling power. The warm coppery tone gives it an elegant, time-worn glow, perfect for collectors of antique smoking accessories or decorative metalware’s.
