A Nice Antique Sterling Silver Caster elegantly proportioned in the classic baluster form; the caster features a finely pierced, domed lid with engraved decoration and a turned finial, resting atop a smoothly contoured pedestal base. Hallmarked for London, 1778 and marked ‘RH’ for the silversmith ‘Robert Hennell I’.

In good condition – Light surface wear and fine patina consistent with age. Hallmarks are clearly struck. The lid fits snugly and remains functional. There is a minor dent to the body, consistent with age and use. In addition, the finial shows some wear, again in keeping with age.
