An evocative piece of British transport history, this authentic GWR (Great Western Railway) railway guard’s whistle is finely crafted from natural horn and features its original metal loop for attachment. Stamped “G.W.R,” it would have once signalled departures and arrivals along the tracks of one of Britain’s most iconic railway networks.
* Imagine this whistle signalling the final call before steam and smoke filled the platform at Paddington. Trust us, it still sounds as loud today as when it was made!!

Length: 2 3/4" (approx. 7cm)

In good condition – The horn surface has aged beautifully, with light wear, surface marks, and a deep natural patina. Whistle still produces a loud, clear tone.
