A Lovely Antique Victorian Silver Plated Biscuit Barrel richly engraved with scrolling botanical swags and foliate panels, giving a distinctly late Victorian taste. The domed lid is similarly engraved and finished with a small finial and a finely beaded edge detail. The stand is raised on four small ball and claw feet, giving the set an elegant lift and a pleasing sense of ceremony on the table – circa 1880.
