This exquisite oval nickel box is adorned with polished moss agate panels on the lid and base - a natural semiprecious stone known for its rich green, forest-like inclusions that resemble miniature landscapes. Dating to the late Victorian period, this compact and elegant piece would have originally served as a pill box, patch box, or a snuff container for refined personal use – circa 1890.
* Its tactile beauty, combined with the organic patterns of the moss agate, make it a highly decorative object as well as a collectible antique.
