A Lovely Antique Edwardian Sterling Silver Shell Butter Dish and butter knife, presented in a fitted case. The dish is modelled as a scallop shell, with deeply chased fluting that creates lively highlights across the surface. A shaped thumb-rest style extension at the top of the shell gives the piece a practical handling point and a distinctive profile. The accompanying knife is proportioned as a small butter or pâté knife, ideal for spreading at the breakfast or tea table. Hallmarked for Sheffield, 1910.
