Antique Victorian Silver Plated Cranberry Glass Basket circa 1890

An elegant antique Victorian silver plated basket, dating to circa 1890, featuring a rich cranberry glass liner that provides a striking contrast against the decorative silver plated frame. The rounded basket is embellished with intricate pierced geometric patterns and floral rosettes, with a shaped upper border, a sweeping hinged handle and a stepped pedestal base. The removable cranberry glass bowl adds both colour and practicality, making this a charming piece for serving sweets or displaying on a dining table or sideboard.
