Antique Edwardian Silver Plated Biscuit Box circa 1905

A handsome Edwardian silver plated biscuit box dating to circa 1905, with a softly shaped square form and hinged lid. The stepped borders have an almost undulating quality, with gently rounded transitions rather than hard edges, giving the piece a particularly fluid and well-balanced profile. A decorative finial completes the lid of this unusual piece.
