Antique Edwardian Mahogany Inlaid Desk Tidy circa 1905

An attractive antique Edwardian mahogany desk tidy, circa 1905, in the Sheraton Revival style. It has multiple stepped compartments for organising letters, papers and stationery, while the front is decorated with contrasting geometric inlay, including a central oval fan motif and corner details. The use of fine inlay, fan decoration and restrained mahogany form are characteristic of Sheraton Revival pieces, while the curved sides and moulded base give it a neat, well-proportioned profile.
