Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Embossed Trinket Box – Chester, 1899

A Lovely Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Embossed Trinket Box. The elongated rectangular form has softly rounded corners and a neatly fitted hinged cover. The lid is richly decorated with embossed and chased floral scrollwork arranged around a comparatively plain central reserve.

The raised ornament includes stylised flowers, scrolling foliage and pierced-looking shadow detail created by the deeply worked silver surface. Hallmarked for Chester, 1899.
