Antique Silver Plated Tray Based Candlesticks Pair – circa 1920

An Unusual Pair of Antique George V Silver Plated Candlesticks with each set upon a substantial square drip tray, creating a distinctive form with both practical and decorative presence. The square bases are finished with raised sides and an attractive decorative border around the outer edges.

Each central stem is built from a succession of baluster-shaped knops and moulded collars, giving the candlesticks a well-proportioned traditional silhouette. The broad candle sockets have gently flared rims and removable sconces – circa 1920.
