A Substantial Antique Victorian Cast Brass Doorstop featuring an impressive equestrian design. The horse is modelled in a graceful walking pose with one foreleg raised, giving the piece a strong sculptural presence.
Finely incised detailing defines the flowing mane, tail, bridle, harness and lower legs. The substantial proportions make this a particularly decorative alternative to a conventional utilitarian doorstop. This version is stamped with ‘No 3’ on the back – circa 1880.
