A Lovely Vintage Elizabeth II Sterling Silver Retractable Cigar Piercer featuring a compact cylindrical form designed for convenient pocket or fob use. The body is decorated throughout with an attractive finely textured wave pattern that gives the silver a particularly tactile finish.
A slender spiral-form piercing point extends from one end, providing the practical tool originally used to pierce the closed end of a cigar. A suspension ring fitted to the base would have allowed the piece to be carried from a watch chain, Albert chain or similar gentleman’s accessory. Hallmarked for Birmingham, 1968.
