A Splendid Antique Walker & Hall Centrepiece combining an ornate silver plated stand with a finely decorated clear glass bowl. The substantial silver plated base is richly modelled with scrolling foliage, flowers and shell-inspired ornament. The elaborate metalwork has a pronounced Rococo Revival influence, giving the piece a highly decorative period appearance.
The removable clear glass bowl sits within a circular silver plated support at the top of the pedestal. The bowl is decorated with extensive diamond cutting around the sides together with engraved floral ornament and a radiating star-cut centre.
Walker & Hall was a prominent Sheffield manufacturer, and the clearly marked base adds additional interest for collectors of British silver plated tableware – circa 1905.

In good condition – The silver plate shows only light surface wear consistent with age and gentle use. There are no chips or cracks to the glass.
