A Lovely Cased Pair of Antique Victorian Sterling Silver Jam Spoons. Each spoon has a broad, leaf-shaped bowl with finely engraved foliate scroll decoration across the upper surface.
The handles are enriched with raised scrolling ornament and a shaped terminal with an inset cartouche-like centre. The spoons are presented in a deep burgundy velvet-lined fitted case. Please note that the case shows considerable age-related wear and is in fairly worn condition, but it remains a charming and attractive way to display the spoons. Hallmarked for London, 1898.
* The scrolling handles and broad engraved bowls would bring a distinctive Victorian flourish to a formal table setting!
