A Fantastic Antique Victorian Brass Oil Lamp combining an ornate brass base with a pink glass reservoir. The lamp stands on a substantial square cast base enriched with scrolling foliage, classical masks and moulded decorative borders.
A ribbed cranberry glass oil font forms the visual centre of the lamp and provides a striking contrast against the warm-toned metalwork. Above the reservoir is a traditional brass burner assembly with a side-mounted wick control.
The lamp retains a large white opaline glass shade with a rounded lower body and flared upper opening. A clear glass chimney sits centrally within the shade and completes the traditional oil lamp arrangement – circa 1890.
