A Really Splendid Pair of Italian Grand Tour Bronze Two-light Candelabra. Each candelabrum is fitted with two opposing candle branches arranged around a tall central architectural support. The candle cups are formed with scalloped rims and raised foliate ornament above broad drip pans.
Open geometric uprights introduce a restrained architectural element to the upper sections of the design. Each base is supported on three spreading legs terminating in boldly modelled animal-head details above circular feet – circa 1870.
