Antique Edwardian Silver Plated Five Trumpet Epergne Centrepiece – circa 1905

An Antique Edwardian Silver Plated Epergne Centrepiece with five removable trumpet-shaped flower vases. A tall central trumpet is accompanied by four graduated side trumpets arranged across an open scrolling framework.

Each removable vase is finished with a broad pierced gallery incorporating circular and triangular cutwork. Sweeping wirework scrolls connect the vase supports and introduce a light, symmetrical quality to the composition. The shaped base has a reflective silver plated surface enclosed by a finely detailed vertical and beaded border – circa 1905.

* Whether displayed with flowers or left unfilled, the epergne remains an impressive example of period table decoration!
