Antique Victorian Elkington Silver-Plated Engraved Tea Caddy – 1858

An Antique Victorian Elkington Silver-Plated Engraved Tea Caddy featuring extensive hand engraved decoration across the exterior. The front, back and sides are ornamented with scrolling foliage, floral medallions and small latticework panels.

The hinged lid carries coordinating engraving arranged around a raised central rectangular panel. A nicely shaped thumbpiece at the front provides a practical detail for lifting the lid. Marked with the Elkington date letter ‘T’ for 1858.
