A Really Elegant Antique Victorian Wine Funnel formed in silver plate with a removable gilt-lined strainer bowl. Its broad circular rim is decorated with a repeating raised scroll motif. The removable upper section contains a pierced strainer designed to catch sediment while wine is decanted. Its long curved spout is shaped to guide wine smoothly into the neck of a decanter – circa 1840.
