A Nice Art Deco Toast Rack combining a silver-plated toast rack with a removable cut glass butter/preserve dish. The frame is formed from polished metal rods arranged in a strongly geometric Art Deco-inspired composition.
Its angular dividers create several upright sections suitable for holding toast, letters or folded napkins. A circular central cradle supports the accompanying clear cut glass bowl. The bowl is decorated with star-cut, fan and radiating motifs that catch and reflect the light. The raised carrying handle has a stepped outline and an open triangular terminal – circa 1925.
