A Decorative Grand Tour Lacquered Brass Pedestal Bowl with a contrasting embossed central panel. The broad circular bowl is raised on a turned stem and a stepped spreading foot. A richly detailed roundel occupies the centre of the bowl.
The central decoration is arranged in concentric bands of floral, foliate and geometric motifs. Repeated mask details appear around the outer section of the embossed panel – circa 1880.
