A Nice Pair of Antique Victorian Silver-Plated Candlesticks designed in an ornate Rococo Revival style. Each candlestick has a tall baluster-form stem with shaped knops and gently fluted sections.
The broad bases are cast with scrolling acanthus leaves, floral details and asymmetrical shell-inspired ornament. Raised decorative borders follow the shaped outlines of the bases. Each candlestick is fitted with a removable drip pans that have shaped edges that complement the scrolling decoration below – circa 1880.
* Placed together on a mantel or dining table, the candlesticks form an elegant symmetrical display!
