Antique Victorian Silver Plated Engraved Biscuit Box – circa 1880

An Antique Victorian Silver Plated Biscuit Box featuring an oval shaped body with a hinged domed lid. Its exterior is finely engraved with scrolling foliate ornament, geometric details, and a central circular cartouche. The domed lid is engraved with matching linear and foliate motifs arranged around a raised central panel.

This biscuit barrel stands within a circular silver plated base with a broad laurel-leaf border. Small feet raise the base slightly above the table surface and give the piece a balanced presentation – circa 1880.
