A Really Gorgeous Large Antique French Gilt Silver Strawberry Spoon with a gold vermeil (gilt) bowl, and intricate hand-engraved decoration including strawberries, blossom, and a finely depicted bird in flight. The scalloped bowl is richly gilded and catches the light with a soft, warm glow. The bowl is marked with the French ‘Minerva Head Mark’ confirming the piece is made of .800 or higher purity silver, a standard for fine French silverware of the 19th century – circa 1900.
